Former Little Pelican Lake resident Twila M. Haldorson, 73, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, April 28 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Barnesville, with visitation for one hour prior to services.
Twila Marie Eggiman was born to Herman and Olive (Brendemuhl) Eggiman on August 11, 1940 in Elmwood Township, Clay County. She attended elementary and high school in Barnesville.
Twila was united in marriage to James A. Haldorson on January 7, 1958, in Barnesville. She cherished the fun times spent with family, friends, and pets at the lake, initially at her father's cabin on Lake Lizzie and later with her husband Jim, of 47 years, at their home on Little Pelican Lake.
Surviving Twila are her four daughters, Tamra (Steve) Hoppe, Trinda (Randy) Braton, Angela (Greg) Ferch and SiDonna Smithwick; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Troy (Michelle) Hoppe and their children Coryn and Ethan, Torie (Penny) Hoppe and their daughters Bria and Ashlyn, Cory (Felicia) Braton and their children Ava and Chase, Jayson Braton, Mici (Matt Quirk) Braton and their son Collin, and Taylor Smithwick; sister Mary (Tom) Krabbenhoft; sister-in-law Mavis Eggiman; a niece and nephews; and her beloved cat Chloe.
Preceding Twila in death were her parents; husband James (2005); brothers Wally and Larry Eggiman; nephews Chad Krabbenhoft and Troy Eggiman; and great granddaughters Kylie Braton and Madisyn Braton.
