Two allegedly caught with 11 pounds of marijuana
William George Jackson, 52, of 36104 Wolf Clan Road, White Earth has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
According to court records: On Nov. 20 a White Earth police investigator received word from a confidential reliable informant that Jackson had allegedly gone to the Twin Cities to pick up marijuana.
He was pulled over by law enforcement officers on County Road 21. They allegedly found 11 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, along with 9 methadone pills.
He allegedly admitted paying $10,000 for the marijuana.
A woman who was with him when he was pulled over, Chrystal Dawn Parisian, 30, of 3153 Snider Lake Road, Waubun, was also charged with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
She allegedly said they picked the marijuana up in Minneapolis, although she stayed in the vehicle while Jackson went in to a residence and bought it.
Jackson appeared Monday before District Judge Mark Hansen, who set cash bail at $750 and bond at $7,500.
