Two injured in SUV crash in Beltrami County
Two boys were injured when the sport utility vehicle they were in rolled Saturday night on Beltrami County Road 15 at about 10:25 p.m.
According to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office report, the 1995 Toyota 4Runner was traveling north on County Road 15 at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, struck the ditch approach and launched into the air. The vehicle rolled three times and landed on its wheels about 120 feet from the ditch approach.
The passenger in the SUV was ejected from the vehicle and was found lying on the east side of the road, the report states.
The 16-year-old driver and the 18-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to North Country Regional Hospital.
The driver, who was unconscious and unresponsive, was flown by helicopter to an unidentified hospital. The conditions of the two patients were not available.
The 4Runner they were in was determined to be stolen.
