Two killed in Wednesday crash in west-central Minnesota

DANVERS, Minn. -- The drivers of two vehicles involved in a head-on collision around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday along County Road 17 about three miles south of Danvers were both killed, according to Swift County Sheriff Scott Mattison.

The names have not been released as law enforcement officials are awaiting confirmation of next-of-kin notification, he said. One of the drivers was dead at the scene and the other died at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, after a helicopter transfer from Swift County-Benson Hospital.
