Two treated after stabbing incident in Detroit Lakes
Two Detroit Lakes men were hurt in an early morning stabbing incident Tuesday.
Injured were Dennis Meade, 23, who suffered puncture wounds to a hand and knee, and Lucas Peterson, 19, who suffered a laceration.
The injuries were not life-threatening. Meade was admitted to St. Mary's Innovis Health for treatment and has since been released. Peterson was treated in the emergency room and released.
Five young adults were involved in the fight, which apparently started over a woman, and none would cooperate with police, said Detroit Lakes Police Chief Kel Keena.
No one is currently in custody. One person was arrested and later released. The case remains under investigation and is being reviewed by the Becker County Attorney's Office for possible charges.
