Unicel adds cell site in Frazee, improving coverage
Unicel customers in and around Frazee can now benefit from better coverage and signal strength, a larger calling area, better voice quality and access to high-speed data transfer and other features.
Unicel's latest expansion of its wireless digital network includes a new cell site in Frazee.
The improvements are all part of Unicel's $125 million network investment around the nation to bring the latest in wireless communication to rural America, with nearly $69 million invested in the Midwest alone.
The new cell site offers superior cellular coverage for residents of Frazee as well as for commuters traveling along Highway 10 between Detroit Lakes and Perham.
Serving 15 states and a population of more than 7.2 million people, Unicel is a leading rural wireless company in America.
In the past year, Unicel has significantly expanded its network capabilities for Minnesota.
These new developments bring the total number of CDMA-capable cellular sites in Minnesota to 205, giving residents, travelers and business people the benefits of an advanced network.
"Unicel is committed to making sure its customers experience the best in wireless service," said Mike Unrein, sales director for Unicel. "Customers in Frazee and the surrounding area will notice a big improvement in the clarity and strength of our signal."
Unicel's lineup of data-compatible phones - including the Motorola Q and V9 - allow customers to enjoy features including high-resolution video capabilities, games and weather radar, advanced features such as Unicel's Pictures2GoSM picture mail and Mail2GoSM e-mail program as well as additional services.
