Vehicle crash sends multiple people to hospital
Several people were injured and one Lifeflighted to Fargo after a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
At about 7:30 p.m., the Becker County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway 21 and County Highway 26, about 10 miles north of Detroit Lakes.
According to the deputy's report, Kelli Tibbetts, 40, Detroit Lakes, was driving a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country westbound on County Highway 26. Stacey Stevens, 22, Bagley, was driving a 2000 Subaru northbound on County Highway 21.
There is a stop sign on County Highway 26 at the intersection of County Highway 21. An investigation is pending.
Tibbetts was taken to Sanford Health in Fargo by Lifeflight. Her daughter, Leah, 2, who was a passenger in her vehicle, was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes via St. Mary's EMS.
Stevens and her passengers, Tiffany Hvezda, 21, Lavina Hvezda, 20, and Darian Stevens, 10, all of Bagley, were all transported to St. Mary's via St. Mary's EMS and White Earth Ambulance.
White Earth Tribal Police, State Patrol, Detroit Lakes Fire Department, St. Mary's EMS, White Earth Ambulance and the Becker County Sheriff's Office all assisted with the crash.
