Vergas man given probation for stalking charge
DETROIT LAKES - A Vergas man was given up to five years' probation last week on a harassment charge.
Jason Charles Hruza, 35, of 35445 County Highway 36, Vergas, pled guilty to the charge of harassment/stalking (victim under 18) on Dec. 21, 2007; a second count of the same charge was dismissed.
Hruza was accused of harassing/stalking two juvenile females in Detroit Lakes on Sept. 30, 2007. According to the report, he followed them around town in his pickup truck, driving past them repeatedly.
As conditions of his probation, Hruza was ordered to pay $1,087 in fines and fees and to have no unsupervised contact with the victims.
