Vikings' Klovstad scores twice to down Wadena-Deer Creek 14-6
Pelican Rapids and Wadena-Deer Creek traveled to Fargo to enjoy playing in the comforts of the FargoDome, in the midst of some difficult October weather, with the Vikings coming away with a hard fought 14-6 victory.
The Vikings' Alex Klovstad scored both touchdowns from four and five yards out, while W-DC's Aaron Kern rushed for 131 yards on 21 carries in the game.
Both teams took advantage of the ideal weather, putting together great opening drives, but without getting any points to show for it.

An 84-yard touchdown run was called back because of a holding penalty, but the Vikings came back with another big play in the drive when Casey Bruggeman connected deep with Dan Ditch for a 35-yard gain.
The drive stalled, however and ended with a missed field goal.
After one possession each, the game was already into the second quarter with no one having any points to show for it.
Pelican Rapids finally got on the board just before halftime, when Klovstad scored on a 4-yard run, with Cris Molina's PAT kick giving the Vikings a 7-0 lead going into the half.
The drive covered 60 yards and used 10 plays, all of them running plays.
Pelican Rapids scored again midway through the third quarter to go up 14-0.
This was a 13-play, 51-yard drive, with Klovstad again picking up the touchdown, this time from five yards out, and the PAT kick by Molina was good.
Wadena-Deer Creek jumped on the scoreboard early in the fourth quarter, when Kern ran in from the two-yard line.
The PAT was missed, and the Vikings held on to an eight-point lead.
The Wolverines had two more possessions in the fourth quarter, with one ending on a fourth down stop and the last one ended with a Ditch interception of the Wolverine pass, giving the Vikings the opportunity to run out the clock and pick up their second win of the season.
