'Vulnerable' Redby woman found safe in St. Paul
A missing Redby woman has been found.
Barbara Ortiz, 29, of is safe and being cared for by professionals in St. Paul, according to a press release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office.
Ortiz, a vulnerable adult, was reported missing Jan. 10.
Charlotte Clark, Ortiz's mother, said Ortiz had walked away from her home, half a mile west of Redby in the McBride area, to hitchhike to Bemidji Jan. 10 on County Road 15. She was last seen near County Road 32 East.
Red Lake Tribal Police Chief Bill Brunelle told the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office on Friday that Ortiz had been located and is safe, according to the press release.
The Sheriff's Office expressed its appreciation for those who came forward with information.
