Wadena man sentenced for DL burglary
Jason Everett Jensen, 22, of 123 Bryant Ave., Wadena has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for first-degree felony burglary, other person present.
A second felony charge of first-degree burglary with a dangerous weapon was dropped in a plea agreement.
According to court records: On April 18 he was involved in a burglary on Long Avenue in which a man came home to find his revolver and ammunition had been taken from the bedroom and place on the kitchen table. He chased the intruder to Jackson Avenue Apartments, where police found him hiding in one of the apartments.
On Oct. 23 District Judge Lisa Borgen sentenced him to 60 months in prison, execution of sentence stayed 20 years. He was placed on supervised probation for 20 years and ordered to serve eight months in jail, with credit for 189 days served.
He was fined $50 plus court fees and ordered to pay restitution amounts of $1,233 and $3,148. He must submit to random drug and alcohol testing and complete drug court.
