Waubun man charged with drug crimes
Duane Francis Warren, 45, of 26537 374th St., Waubun has been charged in Becker County District court with felony third-degree controlled substance crime, sale; felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession; and gross misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to court records, on June 11, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on the residence he shares with Rebecca Ann Jackson.
They allegedly found a plastic bag containing five smaller baggies of crack cocaine, totaling 2.4 grams, in Jackson's purse.
She allegedly told them the cocaine belonged to Warren and she picked it up off the floor and put it in her purse so the kids wouldn't see it.
Also in the house were packaging items, a police radio scanner, a Russian M-91 rifle and a Harrington & Richardson .410 shotgun.
Warren appeared June 14 before District Judge Joe Evans, who set cash bail or bond at $10,000 with conditions or $35,000 without conditions.
His next court appearance was set for June 28.
