Waubun man gets prison time for selling cocaine
Tyler Ray Smith, 20, of 122 Main St., Waubun has been sentenced to 27 months in prison for selling cocaine to an undercover informant.
According to court records, on Aug. 20, 2008, he and another man sold 1.8 grams of cocaine to a confidential reliable informant working for the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force.
He appeared April 28 before District Judge Joe Evans and asked that his prison sentence be executed. He was granted credit for 239 days served and fined $50 plus court fees, to be taken from prison earnings.
Smith was found guilty of felony third-degree controlled substance crime, sale, by a jury on March 31.
