Waubun woman facing drug charge
A Waubun woman has been charged in Becker County Court on a felony drug charge.
Mary Ann Moore, 42, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for an incident that happened on September 27, 2013.
According to the report, a Callaway police officer on patrol noticed a vehicle parked alongside a business in Ogema that was no longer in service.
When the officer ran the license plate, it came back as a license that had expired.
The officer followed the vehicle as it took off on Highway 59, and witnessed it crossing the center line and going 45 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.
When Moore was pulled over, she failed a field sobriety test and also admitted to “doing a line” earlier in the day and smoking meth.
When asked if she had any on her, she reportedly pulled some out of her shirt and handed it to the officer.
Moore, who was also convicted on a misdemeanor DWI charge, had a prior DWI from 2004 in Iowa.
