  • WE Fest: 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., Soo Pass Ranch, Detroit Lakes. The 31st annual music festival officially gets underway, with music on the main stage featuring Katie Armiger, Walker Hayes, Rodney Atkins, Big & Rich (with Cowboy Troy) and headliner Eric Church. Canadian Corb Lund & the Hurtin’ Albertans’ close out the fun on the Barn stage at 12:15 a.m. Info: www.wefest.com.

  • State Horticultural Society 11th District Horticultural Show: 3 to 4 p.m., Lake Park-Audubon High School, 611 Vigen Lane, Lake Park. The 11th District of the Minnesota State Horticulture Society will stage their 54th Annual Show, “Garden Prose and Poetry,” hosted by the Lake Park Garden Club. The 31st annual music festival continues, with music on the main stage featuring the Jason Paulson Band, Dustin Lynch, Little Big Town, Gary Allan and headliner Keith Urban.   • “BARE-Contemporary Rock Musical”: 7:30 p.m., Stage at Island Park, 333 4th St. S., Fargo. Through its pulsating rock score and emotionally charged story, BARE has thrilled and moved audiences around the world since its first staging in Los Angeles over a decade ago. A contemporary rock musical, BARE follows a group of teens wrestling with issues of identity, sexuality, and religion at a co-ed Catholic boarding school. Provocative, raw, and unyielding in its exploration of how today’s generation navigates the tightrope between adolescence and adulthood, BARE examines the consequences of baring a soul-or hiding it from those who matter most.
