'The Wedding Singer' comes to Fargodome Monday night
Adam Sandler made his mark on 1980s pop with his titular portrayal in the 1998 movie, "The Wedding Singer." Twelve years after the movie came out and a full two decades after some of those pop hits first crept out of the radio, a new take on the story and some new songs will take the stage at the Gate City Bank Theater at the Fargodome, 1800 N. University Drive, on Monday night.
The story still follows a brokenhearted singer, Robbie Hart, who falls for an adoring waitress, Julia, who is planning her own wedding. While the story is the same, this musical features music written exclusively for the stage. And in a romantic twist, real-ife husband and wife J. Michael and Jillian Zygo star in the leads.
The musical flashback starts at 7:30 p.m., with tickets from $26.50 to $49. Call 800-745-3000 to reserve your seat.
