HOLIDAY EVENTS

• Parade of Trees: 4 to 8 p.m., American Legion, Lake Park. Fifth annual event features about 30 trees decorated by individuals, families and businesses; proceeds will benefit Lake Park community projects. Admission to the event is by free will donation. The public will get to vote on their favorite trees for a people's choice award, to be announced at the end of the event on Sunday. Holiday goodies will be served.

• Moscow Ballet's "Great Russian Nutcracker": 3 p.m., Festival Concert Hall, North Dakota State University, Fargo. Now in its 18th season, the "Great Russian Nutcracker" performance tour features exquisite dancers from the Moscow Ballet as well as incredible costumes, breathtaking backdrops and hand-crafted props.
