On the outskirts of town stands a ramshackle house where there's a horse on the porch, a monkey in the kitchen and a freckle-faced, red-pigtailed girl in mismatched stockings presiding over all. MUSIC

• Rock & Roll Christmas Spectacular: 7:30 p.m., Historic Holmes Theatre, 806 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. In this Las Vegas-caliber, multi-media production, the audience will engage with an 8-piece, all-star band that mixes music, comedy, parodies and even a game show. You'll hear Christmas classics like "Silent Night," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree" and many more performed like you've never heard them before.
