• Renaissance Madrigal Dinner: 6:15 p.m., Historic Holmes Theatre Ballroom, Detroit Lakes. DLHS music students will treat guests to a Renaissance-style feast including not only a five-course meal, but live music and entertainment throughout the evening. • 'A Rainbow of Promises': 7 p.m., Faith Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes. Christmas program presented by Faith Christian School students.

• Holiday Open House: 2 to 3:30 p.m., Rossman Elementary School, Detroit Lakes. Come visit the holiday decorations in the hallways, hear a reading in the library, visit with staff and listen to holiday music performed by the students in the gymnasium. Cookies and juice will be served.
