• Street Faire at the Lakes: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., downtown Detroit Lakes. Tenth annual event brings 125 artists, dozens of fun and exotic fair foods and a great mix of live music and kids' games to downtown Detroit Lakes. MISCELLANEOUS

• Friday Night Frogging: 8 to 10 p.m., Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, 35704 Co. Hwy. 26, Rochert. Join a Tamarac park ranger for a night of frogging. Identify frogs by their calls while learning about their natural history and significance to the ecosystem; tromp through a marsh and get a close-up look at some of these cool green critters. • Horizon Day: Callaway community celebration includes a parade at 11 a.m. with candy for the kids and lunch in the park courtesy of the Boys and Girls Club. There will be prizes and games for kids and adults, and horseshoes will start at 1 p.m. Antique cars and tractors are welcome to line up for the parade at 9 a.m. on the county road south of the ballpark. Everyone is welcome.

• Pageant Send-Off: 2 p.m., Frazee Event Center. A public send-off party for Miss Frazee, Miss Frazee Outstanding Teen, Miss Heart of the Lakes, Miss Northwest and Miss Perham, who will be competing for Miss Minnesota and Miss Minnesota Outstanding Teen in mid-June. Everyone is invited to attend and there is no charge for this event.
