• Minneapolis Guitar Quartet: 7 p.m., Perham Area Public Library, 225 2nd Ave. NE, Perham. Founded in 1986, the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet consists of Steven Newbrough, Jeff Lambert, Joseph Hagedorn and Ben Gateno. They are regarded as one of North America's leading guitar ensembles. Performance is part of the "History, Heritage & Heroes" series, jointly hosted by the library and the Friends of the History Museum of East Otter Tail Library. Free and open to the public. • MSUM Music Industry Summit: 10 a.m., Minnesota State University, Moorhead. • "Return to the Forbidden Planet": 8 p.m., Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre, Concordia College, Moorhead. A mashup of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and the 1956 cult hit "The Forbidden Planet," a toe-tapping good time that will have you dreaming of flying in spaceships and humming "Shake, Rattle & Roll," "Born to Be Wild," "Good Vibrations" and many more classic favorites. • "You've Got Hate Mail": 7:30 and 10 p.m., Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, 333 4th St. S., Fargo. A hilarious comedy of errors, love "bytes" all when an extra-marital affair goes horribly wrong, thanks to a juicy e-mail message left sitting on a desktop. The story is told entirely in e-mails from laptop computers, although the play still manages to have an unforgettable cheese scene thanks to BlackBerries and SideKicks. Tickets $8-$13.
