"At Christmas" with Mick Sterling: 7:30 p.m., Historic Holmes Theatre, 826 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. Theatrical presentation combining live music performances with a mixture of humorous and poignant vignettes depicting family interactions during the holiday season. The theatrical pieces are written and produced by alumni of Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop, while the music is performed by a five-piece band featuring Twin Cities singer and bandleader Mick Sterling. Friday, Dec. 14
Canadian Pacific Holiday Train: 3:15 p.m., Holmes Street Crossing, Detroit Lakes. The Holiday Train returns to Detroit Lakes with a live Christmas show featuring regional artists the Clay Tones and Tracy Brown performing a mixture of new and traditional holiday music. The event is a fundraiser for the Becker County Food Pantry, and donations of both non-perishable food items and cash will be gratefully accepted.
Saturday, Dec. 15
Roster McCabe: 9:30 p.m., Zorbaz, 402 West Lake Drive, Detroit Lakes. Reggae, rock and dance music. Free show; for ages 21 and up. Info: 218-847-5305.
"A Celtic Holiday": 7 p.m., Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway, Fargo. The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra presents its 2012 Holiday Pops Family Concert, with Celtic band Poitin as special guests. Tickets $18 for adults, $9 for students; general seating. Tickets at www.fmsymphony.org or at the door.
Sunday, Dec. 16
Candles & Carols: 4:30 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 1401 Madison Ave., Detroit Lakes. Christmas stories spun and carols sung by candlelight, followed by a homemade turkey dinner with all the trimmings, with proceeds to benefit the Becker County Food Pantry.
"Behold the Star": 8:15 and 10:30 a.m., DL United Methodist Church, 885 Pembina Trail, Detroit Lakes. Christmas cantata featuring the DLUMC Adult Choir, directed by Diane Jordan and accompanied by Jane Ballard. A Christmas tea will follow both performances.
"The Gift of Love": 4:30 p.m., Faith Lutheran Church, 24688 County Road 6, Detroit Lakes. Sunday school students perform their Christmas program.

Grand Opening for "Electrifying Minnesota": 1 to 3 p.m., Becker County Museum, 714 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes.
