Rising country star Kellie Pickler comes to Mahnomen's Shooting Star Casino for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the casino box office, online at www.starcasino.com or by phone at 800-313-7469.
One of the country's most exciting a cappella vocal bands, InPulse, uses only the mouths and microphones of its members to create a stage performance that is second to none. InPulse will perform live at the Historic Holmes Theatre in Detroit Lakes at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. There will be a pre-party in the Holmes Ballroom, including and appetizer buffet, cash bar and more, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The show is sponsored by Central Market. Teens can swim in the pool, climb The Rock, enjoy the gym and check out the Nintendo Wii at Teen Night in the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center from 7-10 p.m. Krank It Up DJ will provide music in the fieldhouse. Family Float Night
Bring your family in to the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center for a Family Float Night at the pool from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Water toys such as air mattress, noodles, lifejackets and tubes welcome!
Old Time Dance
An Old Time Dance is from 7 to 10 p.m. in the White Pine Room, Frazee.
Bed Race for Bridging
A "Bed Race for Bridging" fund-raiser is set from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bleachers Bar, Detroit Lakes. Proceeds from beer sales, as well as raffles, will be donated to "Bridging," a non-profit organization that supplies beds and other furniture for children in Minnesota. ULTRA Family Ride
The ULTRA Snowmobile Club is sponsoring its Annual Family Ride. This ride is open to everyone and you are encouraged to bring your young riders. Anyone interested should be ready to leave on their snowmobile from the lake at the Club House Hotel in Detroit Lakes by 10 a.m. There will be a guided ride north to a rustic deer camp where there will be a bonfire, hot dogs, hot chocolate and pop. When school's not in session, the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center provides a safe place for kids to have some fun!
