The seventh annual 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) gets into full swing today with headliner Wilco set to take the Main Stage at 9:30 p.m. Other acts set for today include Elf Lettuce, Harper, Mifune, Public Property, Steez, My Dear Disco, The Parlor Mob, Akron/Family, Garaj Mahal, Junior Brown, Pete Francis featuring Barefoot Truth, Railroad Earth, Atmosphere, The Honeydogs and Mason Jennings. Live at the Lodge
The Lodge on Lake Detroit will host a free "Live at the Lodge" concert every Thursday through Aug. 27. This week's performance of "Ivory Perfume" features the talents of pianist Carol Ledeboer-Johnson. The concert will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. in the hotel's Fireside Lobby, and is free and open to the public as well as hotel guests. There is no cover charge for the Summer Thursdays series. The 6th Annual Wayne Nelson Memorial Hidden Talent Show is at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 23 in the Cormorant Community Center. Come for entertainment, fun and laughs. Frazee's 55th annual Turkey Days celebration gets underway with opening ceremonies at noon in Little Turkey Park, a Cowboy Lunch at Harvest Fellowship Church from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the annual Sand Castle Contest at Town Lake Beach, starting at 2 p.m. There will also be a carnival at the Frazee Event Center from 4-6 p.m., Turkey Cook-Off from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and the Turkey Crawl at 6 p.m. There will also be bingo starting at 7 p.m. in the event center, and a street dance starting at 9 p.m., featuring October Road.

Frazee's 55th annual Turkey Days celebration continues with a biscuit-and-gravy breakfast at the Frazee Event Center from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.; Turkey Trot Run/Walk at 8 a.m. (registration starts at 7 a.m.); Kids' Fishing Contest at Town Lake from 8 to 9 a.m.; a Junior King & Queen Contest at 10 a.m. in side the Frazee High School auditorium (registration starts at 9:30 a.m.); United Methodist Church Salad Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the event center; Greased Pole Climb at 11:30 a.m.; a 12-hour Beach Blast starting at noon at Town Lake; Road Rally starting at the Frazee Bar at 1 p.m. (registration starts at 12:30); Soap Box Derby at 1 p.m., Cake Walk at 2 p.m. and Demolition Derby at 3 p.m. Evening events will include an Old-Time Dance at the event center starting at 6 p.m. and the Miss Frazee/Outstanding Teen scholarship pageant at 7 p.m. inside Frazee High School. There will also be live music at the Frazee Liquor store and DJ music at the Frazee VFW, both starting at 9 p.m.

Frazee's 55th annual Turkey Days celebration concludes today with a classic car show at 10 a.m., turkey luncheon at 11 a.m., pet and doll parade at 1:15 p.m. and the Turkey Days Parade at 2 p.m. There will be pie and ice cream served at the Frazee Event Center following the parade, and live music at the Frazee VFW from 6 to 10 p.m., featuring the band Destiny.
Free concerts in NYM
The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will present two free concerts in one day, starting with Judith Siirila at 3 p.m. Judi is a native of New York Mills and enjoys a successful career as singer of classical music in California. She will present a concert of old hymns and gospel songs. Then, at 7:30 p.m., singer-songwriter Elisa Korenne performs a preview concert of her latest song cycle, "The Tenth Muse." Terry Shoptaugh returns to the ITOW Veterans Museum for an 8 p.m. lecture and Power Point presentation about the National Guard. Shoptaugh, a professor of history and American studies at Minnesota State University, Moorhead, is an historian, archivist and award-winning writer. His talk will conclude the ITOW Veterans Museum's Spring-Summer Lectures and Reeenactment Series. A new series will begin in September. The ITOW Veterans Museum is located at 805 West Main, Perham. Tuesdays in the Park
The Tuesdays in the Park summer concert series continues with a live performance by Crashing Down July 28 at 7 p.m. in the DL City Park Bandshell. It is a free show, and open to the public. Upcoming performances include Purple Pan Steel Drum Band, Aug. 4; Ulen Community Band, Aug. 11; Doc & the Scrubs, Aug. 18; and the Lakes Area Community Concert Band, Aug. 25. Before each Tuesday's concert, Thrivent Builds for Habitat will also have a picnic fund-raiser, grilling up fresh burgers and brats for sale at the shelter near the bandshell from 6 to 7 p.m. Call 218-844-SHOW (7469) for more information.
