West Fargo man sentenced on federal child porn charge

FARGO – A West Fargo man was sentenced this week in U.S. District Court in Fargo to five years and 11 months in prison on a charge of possessing child pornography.

Mark R. Perry, 53, had earlier pleaded guilty to the charge.

The case came to the attention of authorities in March 2012 after a North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation agent found that Perry was trading child pornography over the Internet, according to a statement released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The incidents occurred between November 2011 and March 2012, according to the statement.
