White Earth man faces two additional drug charges
A White Earth man already serving time in jail for previous drug convictions is now facing two additional counts in Becker County.
George Edward Libby Jr., 34, of 26292 Eagle Road, White Earth, is accused of selling cocaine to a confidential informant of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force on four separate occasions between March 13-18, 2008. In each incident, the defendant allegedly sold a half gram of cocaine for $300 ($1,200 total). Also, a total of 18.6 grams of marijuana was found in the bedroom of his home when a search warrant was executed there on April 2, 2008.
Libby was charged Feb. 10 in Becker County District Court with one felony count of second degree sale of a controlled substance (cocaine), and another felony count of fourth degree possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). No first appearance date had been set as of press time.
