White Earth man gets jail time for assaulting woman
A White Earth man was convicted and sentenced recently in Becker County District Court on a felony domestic assault charge.
Anthony Lee Redhorse, 27, of P.O. Box 294, White Earth, was ordered to serve 21 months in prison, stayed on conditions including completion of up to five years’ supervised probation and 180 days in jail. He was also ordered to pay $1,160 in court fines and fees, for which he was authorized to do sentence-to-service work.
Redhorse was accused of assaulting a woman outside a Frazee residence on Nov. 18, 2012. According to the criminal complaint, the alleged victim said that she had spotted Redhorse trying to break into the residence while she was out walking, and confronted him.
He then reportedly dragged her across the street and began assaulting her, at which point she screamed and he kicked her. He reportedly fled the scene when a witness called out to him to stop or she was calling the police.
