Comedic pair Williams and Ree will perform live on stage at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center in Mahnomen this Friday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m.

Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased by phone at 1-800-313-SHOW (7469), online at, or via the “Events” tab on Shooting Star’s Facebook page. They can also be purchased at the box office, located at 777 Casino Road.

Bruce Williams and Terry Ree, often billed as “The Indian and the White Guy,” have worked together as a comedic pair for more than 40 years. Packing casinos and clubs across the country with their ever-changing routine, much of the duo’s original banter played upon the stereotypes held of Native Americans.

Williams and Ree met in 1968 at Black Hills State College in South Dakota where they began playing in a band and often filled time in between songs with their unique sense of humor. When the jokes became more popular than the music, the comedy duo was born.

In the 1970s, the pair polished their performances at venues such as the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and tried out new material alongside such comedy stars as Robin Williams and David Letterman. Williams and Ree quickly discovered their natural ability to play off one another and have since shared the stage with entertainers such as Garth Brooks, The Oak Ridge Boys and Tim McGraw.
