Wolf Lake baseball starts season with a pair of wins
The Wolf Lake Wolf Pack kicked of their 2009 campaign this past weekend with two impressive wins.
Saturday they took on the Stingers of Sebeka and found their bats early and often winning 14-3 in the seventh inning due to the ten run rule.
Cory Pudas threw the complete game striking out 10 and allowing just one earned run.
On the offensive side Jack Juberian started the season off by going 3-4 with a home run and four runs batted in.
Sunday would have the same result for the Pack as the blew out the Red Eye Countryboys 16-2.
Luther Kangas followed in Juberian's foot steps going 3-5 with 5 runs batted in -- he was just a home run shy of the cycle.
Perham graduate Shane Hendrickson threw six innings allowing just one hit.
The Countryboys scored two runs in the top of the seventh but just couldn't muster enough offense.
