Woman charged with stabbing in chin
Catherine Marie Sinn, 42, of 215 Barbara Ave, No. 12, Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
According to court records: On Aug. 1 Detroit Lakes police were called to the Northside Bar on a report of a stabbing. When they got there, a woman was yelling "she stabbed my sister!" and pointed to Sinn, who was walking away.
An officer stopped her and talked to her. She had a foldable green knife with a 2 ½-inch blade with blood on the tip.
Inside, Lisa Jackson was holding a towel to her chin, covered in blood.
Investigation allegedly revealed that Sinn had been harassing Jackson that evening. A bartender had made Sinn leave her alone, but when Jackson went outside to smoke, Sinn followed and attacked her with the knife, stabbing her in the chin. She was transported to St. Mary's Innovis Health for treatment in the emergency room.
Sinn appeared Aug. 1 before District Judge Peter Irvine, who set bail at $2,000 and bond at $10,000.
