Woman gets jail, fine for bad checks
Jessica Marie Kundo. 24, of 113 East Main No. 2, Frazee has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on two felony counts of check forgery.
According to court records, on July 15 an investigation revealed that she had written two checks, for $400 and $250, on stolen check blanks and cashed them at Frazee Family Foods. The checks belonged to a man she knew.
She appeared April 29 before District Judge Joe Evans, who stayed imposition of sentence and placed her on supervised probation for five years.
One charge was dropped in a plea agreement, the other will result in a misdemeanor conviction if she successfully completes probation.
She must also serve 10 days in jail, pay a $500 fine and pay $650 restitution.
