Woman hospitalized after hair gets entangled in machine
LITCHFIELD, Minn. -- A 26-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital for head injuries after her hair became entangled in machinery Tuesday inside a production building in Meeker County.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the accident around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sparboe Farms on U.S. Highway 12 east of Litchfield.
The injured woman had been cleaning an egg grading machine when her hair became entangled in the machine. She was subcontracted by JNS Cleaning Service of Litchfield to work at Sparboe Farms.
She was transported by ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital and later flown to North Memorial Hospital by helicopter.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
