Woman sentenced for stabbing
Catherine Marie Sinn, 42, of Baxter, Minn. has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony attempted third-degree assault.
According to court records: She had been harassing a woman at the Northside Bar on Aug. 1, until a bartender made her leave her alone. But when the woman went outside for a cigarette, Sinn stabbed her in the chin with a pocket knife.
District Judge Joe Evans sentenced her to 12 months and a day in prison, execution of sentence stayed four years. She was placed on supervised probation for four years. She was ordered to serve 90 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served. She was fined $1,000 and ordered to get a chemical use assessment and follow the recommendations.
