Music at Maplewood: Jeff Johnson to perform June 17 at Hanson shelter

Longtime Maplewood State Park supporter Jeff Johnson, a former Pelican Rapids resident and business owner, will be returning to Maplewood this coming weekend to share his vocal and guitar talents and share some stories of Maplewood.

Johnson will perform at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter on Saturday, June 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. His show will be an enjoyable evening, featuring a variety of music including some love songs of the 70's and 80's by John Denver and James Taylor. Johnson has also written some songs about people from Pelican that he will also add into his performance. A charter member of the Friends of Maplewood and a longtime supporter of the park, Johnson has also gathered some interesting stories and information about Maplewood, some of which he will incorporate into his show that evening.

Come to Maplewood this Saturday and enjoy an evening of live music in a beautiful outdoor setting. Please bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating.
