R.J. Cummings stands before several of his paintings. His work will be on display at Trinity Lutheran Church through Jan. 24 as part of the church's Music and Arts Program.

Come, enjoy the latest art exhibit at Trinity Lutheran Church.

During the next two weeks of Jan. 10 through Jan. 24, the Trinity Music & Arts Program is exhibiting the works of local artist R.J. (Bob) Cummings.

In his exciting and powerful oil paintings, he uses an intriguing combination of bright color and a wonderful balance of dancing patterns.

He is an accomplished artist well known in the lakes area.

"Painting has been a creative outlet for me," Cummings told a large group of folks gathered the "Meet the Artist" program at Trinity. "It connects me to the past and my present, and to the power and majesty that surrounds us all. It keeps me connected to what God has given me.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to share with people who love to find the beauty life that surrounds us."

View his work at the church from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The Trinity Music & Arts Program is an art venue, open to the public.

An exhibitor need not be a member of Trinity Lutheran Church to hold an art showing, or reading of writings. For more information contact Mark Berg at 218-849-4337.
