Quam will read from and sign copies of his book, "The Teacher," a novel based on a historic event in 1913 when a jealous ex-lover came into a school near Glyndon, Minn., and shot a young female school teacher in front of her students (the teacher and children survived); free and open to the public. • "The Buried Life": 7:30 p.m., Hansen Theatre, Roland Dille Center for the Arts, Minnesota State University, Moorhead. As seen on MTV, four regular guys on a mission to complete a list of "100 Things To Do Before You Die" and to help and encourage others to go after their own lists, two of the cast members will be sharing their experiences and encouragement during the night; tickets free for students at MSUM Box Office, $10 general admission.

A fundraiser with art, food and music to help bring education and awareness of prostate cancer and men's health; funds raised donated to local American Cancer Society to help area people fighting cancer with gas cards for transportation to treatment.
