Korenne received a 2013 Artist Initiative Award from the Minnesota State Arts Board to build her social media skills and strengthen her brand identity.

As part of this grant, the State Arts Board has provided residents of west central Minnesota the opportunity to attend a free two-part workshop where Elisa will share the skills that has learned.

Each workshop will take place in two parts, creativity and business, separated by a bring-your-own lunch/dinner where Korenne will be available for questions, answers and conversation.

In the first half of the workshop Korenne will lead participants in exercises to enhance their creativity.

The session will conclude with a group songwriting project.

Participants will leave with tools they can use to jumpstart their creative projects.

The second half of the workshop will focus on social media and marketing skills and tools.

The workshop is free.  Though geared for adults, it is open to mature teenagers.

Participants may attend any or all of the workshop-related events.

Korenne has received national attention as a performing and recording artist.

“Singer & Musician Magazine” lauded Korenne’s debut CD Favorite as a Top 50 independent release of 2005 saying “Favorite belongs on anyone’s must-play list.”

Korenne has also been called “one of the best we’ve ever heard” by online independent music retailer CD Baby.
