Danell Haspel: Happy New Year from DL Library

It’s that time of year when Father Time passes the baton to Baby New Year; mark the occasion with the help of your library’s DVD collection.

There’s nothing like spending the evening with your significant other watching a good movie, before tuning in to the ball dropping in Time Square.

The staff at Detroit Lakes Library wishes you all a Happy New Year!

“New Year’s Eve: Let Love Be Your Resolution,” by Warner Bros. Pictures.

From director Garry Marshall comes an all-star ensemble romantic comedy.  “New Year’s Eve” celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in intertwining stories told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City.

“Happy New Year, Herbie Bear!” (Herbster Readers: Teamwork at Lotsaluck Camp), by Joanne Meier and Cecilia Minden.

Herbie’s a bear-but he’s no ordinary bear!

Whether he’s playing with friends, reading books, going to school, or exploring new places, he’s eager to learn and ready for adventure.

So grab a peanut-butter sandwich, hop on your skateboard, and come along!
