World Health Day is almost here!

How are you doing on your New Year’s resolution to lose weight and get into shape?

“World Health Day,” which is an attempt to draw attention to a major global health issue, is set for Monday, April 7.

In recent years, concerns such as: hypertension, ageing, and health, and this year’s vector-borne diseases have been in the spotlight.

It’s no secret that losing weight and getting into shape are extremely important for your health, and it’s also no secret your library is a great source of free information on both diet and exercise.

Library happenings

There will be a Microsoft Excel Basics Class on Tuesday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Learn the basics of working with an Excel spreadsheet: navigation, entering data and using formulas.  Excel is a great tool to use when setting up a personal budget, keeping track of collections or organizing addresses and lists.

Children and their caregivers are invited to the library for Preschool Storytime on Thursday, April 3 at 10:30 a.m. and Family Storytime on Saturday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. for stories and more!

The Detroit Lakes Library is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Sunday.
