Inaugural event will feature everything from MnDOT's state-of-the-art vehicles to private contractors' ATVs mounted with plows, traversing a brightly-lit Main Street, with most downtown businesses and restaurants open until 7:30 p.m. and offering holiday specials. • Church Basement Ladies Christmas-"Away In A Basement": 2 and 7:30 p.m., Historic Holmes Theatre, 826 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes. Journey back with the Church Basement Ladies to 1959 and the day of the Sunday School Christmas Program. In the midst of holiday preparations and sprinklings of love in the air, the ladies in their witty, down-to-earth style are creating their own memories from Christmases past and present. • Michael Johnson: 7:30 p.m., Cultural Center, 24 Main Ave. N., New York Mills. Minnesota musician who has recorded hits including "Bluer Than Blue," "This Night Won't Last Forever" and more will present an evening of original music. • Breakfast With Santa: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cafeteria, Minnesota State Community & Technical College, Detroit Lakes. Pancake and sausage breakfast with the proceeds benefiting Lakes Crisis and Resource Center.  Enjoy craft vendors, baked goods, Santa's toy shop; bring your own camera for a picture with Santa & Mrs. Claus. • Holiday Magic: 5 to 7 p.m., Washington Square Mall, Detroit Lakes.
