Traditionally, the first Tuesday in August has been a good day to find a 'crazy' deal while shopping downtown DL.

Detroit Lakes' Crazy Day returns this Tuesday, Aug. 7 with low prices and a variety of goods along Washington Avenue, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Businesses that will offer these sales include Norby's, JC Penney, Lakes Sport Shop, Lakeshirts and many others. It's open to anyone who owns a business around town.

There will be some new participants this year, because the downtown business community has grown. A couple of these new businesses are Kitty Kelli's Clothing and the Helping Hands Thrift Store.

In addition to the shopping deals, there will also be food stands, including the favorite Oof-Da Tacos. Leighton Broadcasting will fill the air with live radio broadcast music.

Crazy Day is hosted by the Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce's promotion and events committee.
