The Detroit Lakes Class of 1964 is having an impromptu reunion at 6 p.m. in Burnside's Char House (formerly D. Dahl's).
DL Women of Today
Come relax and kick up your heels with the Detroit Lakes Women of Today beginning at 6 p.m. in the Speak Easy. Open to all women ages 18-plus. For more information, go to www.mnwt.org. Admission is free but you must purchase own food and beverages.
Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts a wildlife excursion at 10 a.m. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide. Search for wildlife and learn about the cultural and natural history of the refuge. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area 3 miles past the visitor center on County Hwy 26.

Saturday, Sept. 1
A Belgian waffle fundraiser for Jesus Little Lambs Preschool, Vergas, is from 8 a.m. to noon in St. Paul's Loon Lake Church. It is a free-will donation, and children 5 and under eat free.
The annual Strawberry Lake Mennonite Church fundraiser auction is at 11 a.m. at 32506 Co. Hwy 34 (Dan Mulari's yard, eight miles east of Richwood). There will be household items, homemade foods, building materials and more. There is also a bake sale starting at 10:30.
Sunday, Sept. 2
The Knights of Columbus sponsors a pancake/French toast and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Parish Center, DL.
The Shoreham Chapel, Lake Melissa, service is at 10:45 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship. Special music is by Karan Gunderson, harpist. Everyone is welcome. This is the final service of the season at the Shoreham Chapel.
The Elbow-Tulaby Lakes Fire Department holds a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-noon in the Fire Hall, located on Hwy. #113 about 18 miles east of Waubun. Cost is $5 for adults, $1 for children 2-6 and under 2 are free.
Sons of Norway
Vikingland Lodge No. 495 in Detroit Lakes welcomes anyone who is interested in learning more about Sons of Norway to a free dinner at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting and entertainment by an accordion trio.
