• Tenebrae: 7 p.m., Detroit Lakes United Methodist Church. Choirs of United Methodist, Congregational and Episcopal churches, present "Tenebrae," a service of darkness.

• Easter Cantata: 7 p.m., Shiloh Evangelical Free Church, 2200 Shiloh St., West Fargo. A compilation of songs with solos and scriptural narration, this cantata portrays the final days of Jesus. Info: 701-282-3247.


• Artist Reception: 4 to 6 p.m., Roland Dille Center for the Arts, Minnesota State University Moorhead. Reception for the juried student art exhibition on display through April 7. Info: 218-477-2126.

• Everyday Jones Rockumentary Tour: 7 to 10 p.m., Red Raven Espresso Parlor, 14 Roberts St., Fargo. Seattle acoustic rock group along with opening act, Seattle singer-songwriter Nick Deonigi. Free, all ages show. Info: 206-240-4139.

Saturday, April 3


• Jim Ouska and Jane Aleckson Concert: 7:30 p.m., Top Hat Theatre, Ulen-Hitterdal School, Ulen. Musical duo sings original songs and plays guitar as well as electric and upright bass, in a variety of styles including blues, swing, jazz, folk and funk. Tickets $15 for adults, $10 for students. • Easter Egg Hunt: 10 to 11 a.m., Washington Square Mall, Detroit Lakes. Detroit Lakes Women of Today host this event, open to all children ages 0-8. Hunt for Easter Eggs and receive candy and prizes. The Easter bunny will be available for photos. Admission is free.

• Easter Vigil: 8 p.m., Zion Lutheran Church, Franklin Lake. The service begins by gathering around a fire signifying Christ's light entering the world. After that, inside will be a series of readings, music and responses that show God's love, faithfulness and promise of resurrection, remembering baptism and celebrating the Lord's Supper.

• Jose Cole Circus: 7 p.m., Kent Freeman Arena, Detroit Lakes. Tickets are available at the door starting at 6. Cost is $9 for adults (12 and over) and $7 for children. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #3166.
