• 'A Kid's Life': The fourth grade classes of Roosevelt Elementary School present their music program, "A Kid's Life," at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Performances will be held in the George Simson Auditorium at the Detroit Lakes Middle School. All family and friends are invited to attend.

• Togas for Tummies: The DL Jaycees host a fund-raising event for the Becker County Food Pantry beginning at 8 p.m., with entertainment to follow at 9, in Speak Easy. It is a free-will offering. The best toga wins two free tickets to the Bon Jovi concert in Fargo.

• Lake Park Lions dinner and dance: The Lake Park Lions hold their second annual Valentine Dinner and Dance in the Lake Park American Legion starting at 6 p.m. with an Attitude Adjustment Hour. Dinner will be served at 6:30, followed by the Music of Louie and Barry. Tickets are on sale from any Lake Park Lions member. Contact Janet Ashmore at 218 238 5369 for more info.

• Back-Country Ski: Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts a back-country ski. Meet at 10 a.m. for a 5-mile cross-country ski through the woods and along pristine lakes. This long route is an easy trek with stops to admire the fascinating world of winter wildlife. Grab your skis, dress in layers and head to the Pine Lake Ski Trail on County Hwy 29 in Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. It is free. For more information call the refuge at 218-847-2641.


• Red River Singles Dance: Red River Singles sponsors a Sadie Hawkins Dance at the Sons of Norway, 722 Second Ave. N., Fargo, N.D. Music is by Sideline. Dance is from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. You must be single and 21 or better to attend.
