Diane M. Knopf, 58, of Detroit Lakes, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Visitation was held at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes on Monday, Nov. 23, and prior to services Tuesday at the church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, with interment in Western Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fergus Falls.

Diane M. Knopf, 58, of Detroit Lakes, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
Visitation was held at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes on Monday, Nov. 23, and prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, with the Reverend Dan C. Abrahams officiating. Interment was in Western Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fergus Falls.
Diane Marie Miller was born to Clarence and Frieda (Hench) Miller on Nov. 16, 1951 in Fergus Falls. She was a 1969 graduate of Campbell (Minn.) High School. Diane was united in marriage with Charlie Knopf on June 24, 1972 in Detroit Lakes. She attended the sales and marketing program at the Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes.
During her working life, Diane was employed at Minnesota CEP, the Erie Jr. Restaurant, Country Kitchen and Hardees. She and Charlie later divorced. In 1992, Diane moved to Fergus Falls, where she worked for Hardees. She returned to Detroit Lakes in 1994 and worked at Casey’s Convenience Store, Stop ‘N Go, Minute Mart and Quizno’s.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, singing at church and spending time with her friends.
Surviving Diane are two sons, Todd (Koralee) Knopf of Detroit Lakes and Wayne (Aleatha) Knopf of Brainerd; nine grandchildren, Cody, Dominic, Tristan, Garrett, Ronin, Hope, Marissa, Karli and Devin; her mother, Frieda Miller of Fergus Falls; three sisters: Martha (Milo) Smith of Libby, Mont., Joanne (Gary) Wendt of Moorhead and Norma Bradow of Fergus Falls.
Preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Angel; her dad, Clarence; and a brother-in-law, Gary Bradow.
