Glenda Giese, 57, of Detroit Lakes died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, N.D., with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. There will be visitation from noon until the time of services Thursday at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Glenda Giese, 57, of Detroit Lakes died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Glenda Meadows was born to Glenn and Vera (Hust) Meadows on May 15, 1954 in Medina, N.D. She grew up and attended school in Medina.  

Glenda married Keith Giese on October 4, 2008 and they resided in Detroit Lakes, where she was employed with Wal-Mart.

Surviving Glenda are her husband, Keith Giese; two daughters, Christie Matos of Fargo and Hope (Kristopher) Karlgaard of Breckenridge, Minn.; five grandchildren, Coy, Manny, Alex, Derrick and Ethan; one sister, Shirley (Donald) Ihli of Lansford N.D.; and two brothers, Clayton Meadows and Clifford (Sherry) Meadows, both of Medina.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, N.D., with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

There will be visitation from noon until the time of services Thursday at the Eddy Funeral Home.
