No races in Callaway
With the mayor’s post and two city council positions up for grabs in the City of Callaway this fall, there are three people whose names will be placed on the ballot come November. Mayor Gretchen Stalboerger has filed for re-election; she will run unopposed. Incumbent council member Charles Loreth is also seeking another term, and Cliff Bryngelson has filed for council as well. Clouncil memeber Cleo Baker opted not to seek another term.August 20, 2010
Callaway Market open Aug. 7-8 
The Callaway Farmers Market open Aug. 7. It is located on the north edge of Callaway on Highway 59. On Aug. 8, it will be held on the south edge of Callaway in the park. Both start at 10:30 a.m.

Callaway Horizon Day includes parade, games
Callaway Horizon Day is Saturday, June 5, and includes a parade at 11 a.m. with candy for the kids. Lunch will be in the park courtesy of the Boys and Girls Club. There will be prizes and games for kids and adults, and horseshoes will start at 1 p.m. Antique cars and tractors are welcome to line up for the parade at 9 a.m. on the county road south of the ballpark. Everyone is welcome.
