RAIDER GIRLS BASKETBALL: LP-A falls short of Northern Cass
The Lake Park-Audubon girls’ basketball team was thrown out of rhythm by the visiting Northern Cass squad in a 42-38 loss.
The North Dakota team was able to move the ball around the floor and the Raider defense to set up their high-percentage shots, while LP-A couldn’t get on track offensively.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: LP-A pulls out thriller
It was as close to a 2-0 start as the Frazee girls’ basketball team could get, but it still wasn’t close enough.
The Lady Hornets dropped a 63-62 heartbreaker Thursday against the visiting Lake Park-Audubon Raiders, as the visitors came out on fire to build a 16-point first half lead at 29-13, and the Raiders went 2-0 on the season.

Hall will be a setter for the All-Star Maroon team Saturday, Nov. 19 in Bagley.
The Maroon team consists of LP-A’s Hall, Carlson and Knudsvig, Olivia Vaadeland of Park Rapids, Katelyn Butowski, Tiffany Hartung (each of Holdingford), Megan Hulscher and Molly Lohman (each of Mankato West) and Emily Jenson of Foley.

Raiders have strong season
The 2011 season produced a fresh-look Lake Park-Audubon volleyball team, which included a new coaching staff, along with a new feeling of success.
The Raiders had one of their better seasons in recent memory after finishing the season 15-9 and a nice, deep playoff run, which ended in the North Section 6-1A semifinals.

Raiders fall to NCE in North semifinals
Despite losing in the Section 6-1A North semifinals Tuesday evening, the Lake Park-Audubon volleyball team is back on the map.
The No. 3 seeded Raiders (15-9) had their deepest run in the playoffs for quite some time, before falling to No. 2 Norman County East 3-1 in Hawley.

RAIDER VOLLEYBALL: LP-A playing strong, despite losses to end regular season
Although the Lake Park-Audubon volleyball team will be entering the Section 6-1A playoffs with a two-game losing streak, there still is plenty of momentum which has been formed for the talented Raiders squad.
A nip-and-tuck 3-2 loss to Norman County East on the road Thursday did provide some proof the Raiders will be a force in the playoffs, after pushing the Eagles to brink, before losing the fifth set 15-13.

The Lake Park-Audubon volleyball team has a firm hold on the No. 3 seed for the upcoming Section 6-1A playoffs and they also had a glimpse of what it will take to make it through a rugged tournament push.
The No. 8 Class 1A ranked Win-E-Mac made the visit to Audubon, as the Patriots swept away with a 3-0 win by the scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-13.

MAHNOMEN CRUSHES RAIDERS: Pavek leads potent scoring attack
The Lake Park-Audubon football team did something only one other offense has done this season against the No. 2 Class 1A ranked Mahnomen Indians — score a touchdown.
But that was about all the Raiders could manage, as the Indians posted another pounding to stay undefeated at 6-0 with a 52-7 win at home Friday.

LAKE PARK-AUDUBON CROSS COUNTRY: Raider girls 3rd in Hawley
The steps of progression continued for the Lake Park-Audubon girls’ cross country team, as Jen Hamre led the Raider pack into the finish line to key a third-place finish for the girls’ varsity team.
Hamre raced for a 17:51.28 time, while teammate Ashlynn Strom wasn’t far behind in sixth place with a mark of 18:37.11.
