Frazee green will be a familiar sight during the Class 1A state wrestling meet this weekend, as the Hornets hold the No. 2 seed in the team tournament and will also have a hefty nine in the individual portion.
The Class 1A state meet starts Wednesday and will run through Saturday, climaxed by the team championship match starting at 6:30 p.m. inside the Xcel Energy Center.

Qualifications for the Gymnastics Coaches Hall of Fame include being a high school coach for at least 10 years and being a head coach for at least five years. If any two people would qualify, it’s Jim Smith, Frazee, and his late wife, Dolores.

Perham notches win over Lady Hornets
The Perham Yellow Jackets used good shooting and a strong defensive effort to cruise past the Frazee Lady Hornets 64-34 Friday night in Heart O’Lakes girl’s basketball action in at Frazee.
The Yellow Jackets (18-5 overall, 14-3 HOL) raced out of the gates with a quick 9-0 run to take control early.
