Increased stress puts more teens at risk
Adolescence is difficult in the best of times. It’s doubly stressful for kids today; they’re experiencing the same worries and insecurities as adults in this troubled economy, and with far fewer coping skills.

btw, i’m lol, but i don’t understand
When I read papers, text messages, e-mails and so on I frequently find myself thinking, “Do you even remember how to write?” It’s a sad day when people don’t use proper English.

A much too brief stay turns into a lifelong sisterhood
Way back in December I didn’t know what it was like to have a sister. All I had ever had were brothers. When I learned that my family would be hosting our eighth exchange student, I was more than excited. The fact that I was going to have a new sister fascinated me. Before Siri came to live with us I didn’t know what it felt like to be able to have someone that close to you.

Best vacation ever
I’ve always been the kind of person who’d prefer to be outside seeing new things and places, than sitting inside watching TV, or playing Play Station.

Though snow has been missed, this skier is happy spring is here
If you’ve been outside recently, you may have noticed that the weather is warmer than the month of March usually brings. The weather forecast shouldn’t be saying 65 degrees on March 13. The snow that never came
As I looked out my window last Monday and saw all that beautiful glistening snow, I was jumping for joy. I could barely see out my window, the snow was so thick. Finally, my blizzard was here.

Life’s complete: Kissed by Olympian
In anticipation of the weekend ahead, I developed a severe case of Birkie Fever this past week. The American Birkenbiner/Kortelopet took place last weekend; it was as exciting as ever.
My dad and my brother, Dylan, skied the 54-kilometer race (the Birkie), while my friend, Zach, and I skied the 23K race (the Korte). In order to ski the Birkie, you must be 18. Sadly, I am not 18, so I have to participate in the Korte instead.
